Served by numerous international and domestic airlines and used by tens of millions of passengers each year, Sydney International Airport (SYD) is Australia's largest airport. It is officially named Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Airport, after the Australian aviation pioneer. It is located in Mascot, a suburb of Sydney, Australia's most densely populated city.

Air Tahiti Nui offers flights from Tahiti via Auckland, in codeshare with our partner airline, Qantas Airways. The airline will also offer direct flights between Tahiti and Australia (PPT - SYD) starting in December 2026. For now, Air Tahiti Nui offers up to three services per week from Sydney to Papeete, Tahiti via Auckland. The Air Tahiti Nui flights from Auckland to Papeete operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Full-Service Lounges

Just like at Auckland Airport (AKL) or Tahiti Faa’a Airport, Air Tahiti Nui offers access to airport lounges to each passenger traveling in Poerava Business class and to its Club Tiare GOLD members. At Sydney Airport, served through a codeshare agreement with Qantas and soon accessible via direct flights from Papeete aboard the Tahitian Dreamliner - Air Tahiti Nui’s aircraft - our passengers can enjoy the Qantas Business Class lounge. An invitation will be provided upon arrival.

The Qantas lounge is located in the departures area, on Level 3 of Terminal 1, near the tarmac. Enjoy a comfortable and peaceful space to rest, work or dine before boarding your flight.

Connect with your friends and family or work easily thanks to the free WiFi or enjoy a relaxing shower. The Qantas lounge of Sydney Airport also features a family area where your children can have fun while waiting for the flight.

If you are looking for a place to eat, the Qantas Business Class Lounge at Sydney Airport (SYD) offers a range of facilities and catering services including: a bar, a barista service and a buffet offering a selection of hot dishes, salads, snacks and various desserts.
