Sanitary measures on board and at the airport

Air Tahiti Nui mesures sanitaires

What are the sanitary measures to be respected?

Sanitary measures may change according to the epidemic situation, as well as the regulations of each country. They are subject to change without notice. To know the sanitary measures applicable in your country of departure, destination and transit, we recommend that you visit the country's official Tourism board website before your departure.

Your well-being and safety are our top priorities. Air Tahiti Nui maintains reinforced hygiene measures on all its flights. We also recommend that you adopt barrier measures on board and in the airports.

Physical distancing

Maintaining physical distancing is strongly recommended to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

At the airport:

  • Comply with all signage,
  • Maintain physical distancing in waiting areas,
  • Prefer touchless or online check-in counters.

On board:

  • Limit movement during the flight if not necessary.

Wearing a mask

The mask requirement has been lifted on all international flights to and from France, the United States and New Zealand. The mask is thus no longer required on board our flights on these routes.

Sanitary measures may change according to the epidemic situation, as well as the regulations of each country.

Our sanitary commitments on board

Reinforced cleaning and disinfection

The cleaning and disinfection procedure of our aircraft is reinforced on departure and arrival. Meticulous cleaning of our cabins and strict sanitary rules required of our various suppliers allow us to limit the risks of contamination from our equipment and services on board.

During the flight, our crews also ensure regular cleaning of all common areas with a specific disinfectant.

Cabin air filtration

Our latest-generation 787-9 Dreamliners are equipped with a high-performance air filtration system. The cabin air flow does not circulate from one row to another and the air is renewed every 2 to 3 minutes.

This system is equipped with filters identical to those used in hospitals and is able to capture and block up to 99.995% of the bacteria and viruses spread in the cabin.
