Air Tahiti Nui is publishing its first sustainable development report
Since its voluntary engagement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in 2015, Air Tahiti Nui is presenting its first report on sustainable development 2016 for the European week sustainable development (SEDD) from May 30th to June 5th 2018. This report presents Air Tahiti Nui CSR initiative (a method based on the ISO 26000 norm) and the current state of its contribution to sustainable development commitments.
It was established in accordance with the general principles of the Global Reporting Initiative ( GRI); a well-known norm at the international scale to report on economic and environmental issues of a company, following a training program organized by ATN, “Club des Entreprises Polynésiennes Eco-responsables” (an association of eco-responsible Polynesian companies), “Fonds Paritaire de Gestion” (a local agency in charge of professional training) and the “CCISM” (a local agency supporting business development) in September 2016.
In 2016, some significant actions have to be mentioned such as the implementation of the greenhouse gas reduction policy, the survey on health issues filled by the employees, the organization of a first flight for 250 young Polynesians, etc.
