Entry requirements in Australia

Australia's borders are now open to visitors

Before your departure, we invite you to check the requirements for entry, transit and stay in Australia on the websites of the Australian Department of Immigration and the Australian Department of Health.

Please note that entry requirements and regulations are subject to change without notice. Be sure to check with your travel agent and/or the appropriate authorities before traveling overseas.

Each passenger is solely responsible for complying with the laws and regulations required by the country of transit or destination he/she has chosen, as well as for presenting the necessary travel documents to get there.

Air Tahiti Nui strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information to help you prepare for your trip. However, the airline declines all responsibility in case of error or involuntary omission in the information provided.

We invite you to also consult the New Zealand entry requirements if you are transiting to Australia. The most restrictive requirements of both countries will apply.

You will also find tips on the TraveSECURE website to help you prepare for your trip.

Important information:

Please be advised that Qantas and Jetstar Airways require all travelers boarding their aircraft to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 even if the country of departure and/or destination does not require it.

The list of exemptions to this rule, including children, is available on the official Qantas website.

We recommend that you check the airline operating your flight on your travel itineraries. We remind you that it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the requirements of the countries you are transiting through and your final destination country. You will not be able to transit through New Zealand if you do not meet all the requirements of the New Zealand authorities.

Also, we inform you that due to the pandemic, some visa processing times have been disrupted and may be extended (between 15 days and 11 months). Therefore, we recommend that you apply for your visa now.
