Covid-19 Ticketing and Travel Update – Air Tahiti Nui | Effective from July 31, 2020

Flights Suspended through July 15 ; LAX-PPT schedule change through 01 November ; LAX-CDG suspended through 01 November – Rebook to December 31, 2021

Here is a further update providing waiver fees, ticket reissuance for a variety of travel dates. Flights between LAX and Papeete up to July 14th and between LAX and Paris though November 1st have now been cancelled due to government travel regulations in effect. Also covered are schedule changes on LAX-PPT, July 30 - November 1st.

 

 

Date Change and Ticketing:

 

For all tickets issued for travel originally scheduled for 12 March - 15 July and on LAX-CDG to 01 November, 2020:

Application: All Air Tahiti Nui routes, schedule changes and non-operation:

  • New travel must commence on/before 31 December 2021.
  • Date change fee is waived, ticket must be reissued by 30 September 2020.
  • Collect higher seasonality fare difference and any tax increase.
  • Rebooking should be done in the original ticketed, booking class – if the original booking class (RBD) is not available, okay to rebook up to the next two higher classes (RBD) without surcharge.  Note – must be in the same cabin. i.e. Economy cannot move to Premium, Premium cannot move to Business.
  • Waiver: 2020LAX20087/COVID19 – enter in Endorsement box.
  • Normal fare rules apply.

 

For all tickets issued between 18 March 2020 & 30 September 2020 and travel on/after 16 July, 2020 up to 31 December, 2020:

Application: All Air Tahiti Nui routes: Schedule Changes and Change of Destination:

  • New travel may commence on or before 31 December 2021.
  • One date change fee is waived, new travel must be booked by 30 September 2020.
  • Must reissue the ticket prior to expiration, or before January 15, 2021.
  • Rebooking must be done in the original ticketed, booking class.
  • Waiver: 2020LAX20087/COVID19 – enter in Endorsement box.
  • Collect any additional taxes and airfare differences.
  • Normal fare rules apply except: Min/Max stay and stopover conditions are waived.

 

Change of Destination:

  • Permitted on TN operated flights only.
  • If fare/taxes are higher, collect and show new fare on reissued ticket.
  • If fare/taxes are lower, refund to pax via EMD-S DEPO and reissue the ticket with the applicable fare.
  • Waiver must be obtained from ATN.

 

Covid19 Test:  In case of positive or late test results:

Application: All Air Tahiti Nui routes:

  • Date change fee is waived, new travel must be booked by 30 September 2020.
  • Must reissue the ticket prior to expiration.
  • New travel may commence on or before 31 December 2021.
  • Rebooking must be done in the original ticketed, booking class.
  • Apply 2020LAX20087/COVID19 – enter in Endorsement box.
  • Collect any additional taxes and high season/fare surcharges.
  • Normal fare rules apply except: Min/Max stay and stopover conditions are waived.
  • Full refund is permitted upon submission of a copy of the COVID19 test result to ATN.

 

 

Ancillary Items Purchased:

  • Ancillary products purchased on any itinerary are transferable to the new itinerary, subject to availability.
  • The refund of Ancillary items is tied to the type of ticket purchased. If the ticket is nonrefundable, Ancillary items are also nonrefundable.

 

Note – Rules are subject to change as the situation evolves.

 

 

Flight Schedules and Operations:

In light of international travel and safety measures taken by the Presidency of French Polynesia and the High-Commissioner of the French Republic in French Polynesia, as well as restrictions in the United States, New Zealand, Australia and the European Union, some of which include compulsory repatriation of all non-residents to their home Country, entrance only for residents, quarantines  and restriction of domestic and international flights, Air Tahiti Nui  informs you that effective from March 18th, through July 14th, 2020 the Company is not able to operate its normal flights  between LAX and PPT, and LAX -Paris, thorough to November 1st, 2020, with the exception of special charters.

Flight operations resumed LAX-PPT from July 15th, 2020, subject to Government directives and entry conditions to French Polynesia.

The schedule from July 15th onwards is subject to change and all passengers must reconfirm their reservation at least 72 hours prior to departure, if not earlier.
