Covid-19 Flight and Rebooking Information – Air Tahiti Nui | Update: Friday, May 08th, 2020

Rebooking extended to on or before 31 December, 2021

Here is the latest update on Air Tahiti Nui flights, schedule changes and rebooking of tickets as of July 10th, 2020.

 

Flight Schedules and Operations: Force Majeure impact on flight schedules

In light of international travel and safety measures taken by the Presidency of French Polynesia and the High-Commissioner of the French Republic in French Polynesia, as well as restrictions in the United States, New Zealand, Australia and the European Union, some of which include compulsory repatriation of all non-residents to their home Country, entrance only for residents, quarantines  and restriction of domestic and international flights, Air Tahiti Nui informs you that effective from March 18th, through July 14th, 2020 the Company is not able to operate its normal flights between LAX and PPT, and LAX-Paris, thorough to August 31, 2020, with the exception of special charters.

Flight operations will resume LAX-PPT from July 15th, 2020, subject to Government directives and entry conditions to French Polynesia.

LAX-Paris though August 31 have now been cancelled due to government travel regulations in effect.

The schedule from July 15th onwards is subject to change and all passengers must reconfirm their reservation at least 72 hours prior to departure, if not earlier.

 

Rebooking your flights:

If your tickets were issued for travel from March 12th through July 15th, 2020 and on LAX-CDG to 31 August, 2020, you may rebook new travel dates as follows:

  • New travel may commence on or before December 31st, 2021.
  • Tickets for the new travel date must be issued before September 30th, 2020.
  • Change fee is waived.
  • New booking must be for the same itinerary, booking class, and cabin.
  • There may be an increase in tax or surcharge to be collected for the new travel dates.
  • Please contact your travel professional or Air Tahiti Nui for more details. Seats may not be available on every flight and booking class restrictions apply.

 

If your tickets were issued between March 18th and September 30th, 2020 for travel on or after July 16th up to December 31st, 2020 you may rebook new travel dates as follows:

  • New travel may commence on or before December 31st, 2021.
  • Tickets for the new travel date must be issued before September 30th, 2020.
  • One date change fee is waived.
  • Ticket must be reissued prior to expiration, or before January 15th, 2021.
  • Please note the new booking must be for the same itinerary, booking class, and cabin.
  • Normal fare rules apply except: min/max stay and stopover conditions are waived.
  • There may be an increase in tax or surcharge to be collected for the new travel dates.
  • Please contact your travel professional or Air Tahiti Nui for more details. Seats may not be available on every flight and booking class restrictions apply.

Change of Destination:

  • Changing destination permitted on TN operated flights only.
  • There may be an increase in airfare, tax or surcharge to be collected for the new itinerary.

 

Covid-19 Test:  In case of positive or late test results:

The Government of French Polynesia, in conjunction with the High Commissioner of France, has established various entry requirements for anyone visiting from July 15, 2020. This includes a PCR Covid-19 test, no more than three days prior to departure on a nonstop flight to Tahiti. If the test is positive, boarding will be denied, and these conditions will apply to rebooking your flights:

  • New travel may commence on or before December 31st, 2021.
  • Tickets for the new travel date must be issued before September 30th, 2020.
  • Change fee is waived.
  • Ticket must be reissued prior to expiration.
  • Please note the new booking must be for the same itinerary, booking class, and cabin.
  • Normal fare rules apply except: min/max stay and stopover conditions are waived.
  • There may be an increase in tax or surcharge to be collected for the new travel dates.
  • A full refund may be refunded upon submission of a copy of the COVID-19 test result to ATN.
  • Please contact your travel professional or Air Tahiti Nui for more details. Seats may not be available on every flight and booking class restrictions apply.
