The Government of French Polynesia has implemented the following travel policy. The intent of this policy is to help insure the safety and wellbeing of our guests, flight crew, and the people of and visitors to French Polynesia. Please carefully read these instructions and have a very wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable flight and travel experience.
For those travelers having visited or transited one of the following countries, within 30 days prior to their trip to French Polynesia:
CHINA, CAMBODIA, HONG KONG, INDIA, JAPAN, MACAU, MALAYSIA, NEPAL, SINGAPORE, SOUTH KOREA, SRI LANKA, TAIWAN, THAILAND, VIETNAM, PHILIPPINES, IRAN, and ITALY
A medical certificate dated no older than 5 days prior to travel certifying a condition of good health, is required on all ATN flights destined for or transiting through Papeete. This certificate must be obtained from a hospital, urgent care facility, or primary doctor, and signed by the observing medical professional. This certificate must clearly state that the traveler has no detectable signs of fever, cough, congestion or shortness of breath.
A local urgent care facility near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) may provide clearance for a such a certificate. Please note that this facility is not connected to LAX, or the Tom Bradley International Terminal and an additional 2 hours is recommended if using this facility.

For those travelers having NOT visited or transited the countries within 30 days prior to their trip to French Polynesia, kindly note:
A medical form must be completed and self-certified by each passenger. Please download, complete, and present this upon Air Tahiti Nui flight check-in. (Except Narita) This form is available on our website or at the airport.
Either at the departing ATN Airport (Except Narita) or upon arrival in Papeete, Medical staff will verify the document and conduct a temperature scan. Any passenger registering a temperature above 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit (37.5 degrees Celsius) may be refused travel/entry per this policy.
Passengers with normal temperature and NOT exhibiting visible signs of illness / virus, including a fever above 99.5 degrees, persistent coughing and or shortness of breath, will be accepted for travel on Air Tahiti Nui, entry into French Polynesia.
Please note that guests may be required to provide at check-in or onboard the flight, both to and from the United States and French Polynesia, documentation confirming the address in destination, telephone number(s), and email address. This information may be used by the Ministry of Health in French Polynesia as well as the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control.
Returning into the United States of America:
For those passengers returning into the United States of America --- any passenger who is NOT an American citizen holding an American passport OR legal permanent resident of the United States will be DENIED entry if they have visited or transited Mainland China, Iran or Schengen area within the last 14 days.
