Visit the Eiffel Tower
 

You can't miss the Eiffel Tower which rises nearly 300 meters into the Parisian sky. An elevator will take you to the top of the monument where you'll discover an amazing view of the capital. There's no bungee jumping like on the Sky Tower in Auckland, but what you will have is an amazing panoramic view, restaurants, shops and a replica of the office of Gustave Eiffel, the builder of the Eiffel Tower.

Walk up the Champs-Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe

Take a few hours to stroll the Champs-Elysées and window-shop the stores of the most famous luxury brands. The avenue is always quite lively and is the place where many important annual events are held (the July 14th parade, New Year's Day celebration, etc.). You can also go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to discover this magnificent monument and enjoy the view.

Stroll on the banks of the Seine

Discover the superb Alexandre III bridge, walk to Notre-Dame Cathedral or enjoy a relaxing moment on the Pont des Arts. Watch the Bateaux Mouches or climb aboard one of them to discover Paris in an entirely different way. The banks of the Seine are the ideal place for taking in the very distinct atmosphere of Paris: booksellers, musicians, painters and illustrators all contribute to the river's charm.

Take time to visit a museum

There are many museums in Paris, and there's something for everyone. It's up to you to choose! Among the most visited, you can, of course, gaze upon the Mona Lisa at the Louvre or discover the impressive collection at the Musée d'Orsay. For Oceanic arts, go to the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, and science enthusiasts will enjoy the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. If your tastes are a bit more eclectic, there's the Grévin Museum and its wax statues, the Perfume Museum and the Chocolate Museum.

Spend a day in Montmartre

Montmartre is one of the most iconic districts in Paris (as well as one of the most beautiful), where many artists, including Monet, have lived. Enjoy, for example, a brunch followed by a bit of shopping among the charming streets of Montmartre. The atmosphere is lively and romantic. You'll encounter artists presenting their paintings to passers-by, and you can see the "Mur des je t'aime" (the "I Love You Wall") where the expression is written in more than 200 different languages. Visit the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur and the Montmartre Museum, then stroll through the Renoir Gardens overlooking the vineyards.

Get some fresh air in a Parisian garden

Parisian gardens and parks each have their own special qualities which make them unique. If you're looking to enjoy a green oasis in the heart of Paris, you have several options. We suggest visiting the Jardin du Luxembourg. Its 25 hectares are particularly impressive. Its statues, fountain, pond, orchard, greenhouses and children's attractions are all perfect for a family outing. The Jardin des Plantes and the Buttes Chaumont are also must-see parks for nature lovers!

Attend a concert or show

 
Musical artists from all over the world stop in Paris while on tour, and Parisian concert halls and theatres offer shows every night. Perhaps you'll have an opportunity to go to a show in one of the capital city's most iconic halls (Zenith, the Olympia, the Palais Garnier or the Comédie Française, etc.). Find out beforehand if your favourite artists have performances scheduled during your trip to Paris!

Visit the major religious monuments

The huge Église de la Madeleine, located in the heart of Paris, is a must-see as well. You can also visit the Grand Mosquée de Paris to discover its architecture and its magnificent decorations. It houses a shop selling traditional objects, a restaurant and a tearoom.

Stroll through the covered passages

For a unique walk in the heart of Paris, we suggest checking out some covered passages which cut through some of the buildings in Paris. These lovely galleries generally date from the 19th century and have retained their Old World charm. You can do some shopping in the small stores inside. There are antique shops, stylish boutiques, restaurants and many other businesses.

Enjoy the ambiance of the Marais

The Marais district is quite unique, and this is what gives it its charm. Great restaurants and museums, such as the Picasso Museum or Victor Hugo's house, rub shoulders with unique little shops and cosy tearooms. There, you'll also find the Place des Vosges, one of the most beautiful and oldest squares in the city. There are many contemporary art galleries in the Marais. Don't hesitate to check them out. You'll discover amazing works!
