Return Fares to Bora Bora
Bora Bora, recognised internationally as one of the world’s must-see destinations. The main island is made up of three bays that open onto a majestic turquoise coloured lagoon featuring iconic overwater bungalows.
You can do as much or as little as you like when visiting Bora Bora. Widely recognised as a romantic getaway, Bora Bora can also be an action-packed destination for those seeking a more active holiday experience. Its marine playground offers a plethora of activities such as scuba diving, fishing, jetski rides, kite boarding, paddle boarding, snorkelling, swimming with the stingrays and reef sharks, and more. On land you can take a 4x4 adventure excursion, cultural tours, picnic on a motu, visit a local village or simply relax. Above the island you can capture the entire island in your holiday snaps from a helicopter tour.
Bora Bora is located about 255km northwest of Tahiti. The short, 50-minute flight from Papeete’s Faa’a International Airport is operated by domestic airline Air Tahiti (VT). Bora Bora’s airport is located on Motu Mete, a small islet a short distance from the main island of Bora Bora. A boat ride is needed to reach the main island and the resorts scattered around the surrounding islands.
If booking accommodation, please take care to note the flight arrival day on your itinerary as flights between Auckland and Papeete cross the international dateline. In addition, an overnight is often required in Papeete where same day connections are not available.
