2. Voluntary ticket amendments for new bookings made in Australia and New Zealand not affected by a flight cancellation - book with confidence

To help alleviate uncertainty, and to assist passengers impacted by a Government imposed travel restriction related to COVID-19, Air Tahiti Nui has introduced a ticket amendment policy for any ticket issued in Australia or New Zealand between 18 March 2020 and 31 December 2021 for travel between 01 July 2020 and 31 December 2021 where the passenger voluntarily chooses to change their travel plans.   Examples where this policy would apply include:

- If quarantine is required at the country of residence of the passenger.
- If borders are closed at the transit airport.
- If quarantine or lockdown is required in French Polynesia.
- Where a passenger cannot travel due to a positive COVID-19 test taken within 3 days of flight departure
- Where a passenger has tested positive for COVID-19 during their stay in French Polynesia

If a passenger wants to change a booking ticketed during the stated ticketing/travel period, they may change once without penalty, subject to availability in the original booking class on the same itinerary (or change of origin/destination), to another travel date on/before 31 December 2022.  Where a higher fare is selected, or a change in passenger age requires a change in fare type, the fare difference must be collected.  For all other instances the original fare condition will apply.   The ticket must be reissued on/before 05 May 2022 or before ticket expiry if this is more restrictive.  For ticket cancellation please contact your booking agent.
