Tahiti Faa’a International Airport - PPT

Tahiti Faa'a International Airport (PPT) is the strategic gateway to the South Pacific and our home base on the island of Tahiti. Air Tahiti Nui operates from the International Terminal Building. For transfers to inter-island flights, Air Tahiti operates from the same terminal.
Note: Faa'a Airport is not a 24 hour operation. If you are connecting to an early morning departure flight, it is the normal requirement that you collect your checked baggage and clear customs/immigration formalities before checking in for your onward flight. International check-in opens 3 hours prior to departure.

Los Angeles International Airport - LAX

The world's third busiest airport, LAX offers daily connections to every major North American city. Air Tahiti Nui operates from the Tom Bradley International Terminal, one of eight terminals at LAX. For transfers to other terminals either walk or look for the “Airline Connections A Shuttle” found at the lower level (Arrival Level) in front of the terminal.

Check-In Counter

Tom Bradley International Terminal Positions: A24 - 30 (due to airport requirements this location may be subject to occasional change). All Air Tahiti Nui flights depart from the Bradley terminal. The gate number is displayed on the electronic sign boards in the terminal as well as on your boarding pass. The gates are located in the main Bradley terminal building, or in the Midfield Satellite Concourse, which is connected to the main Bradley terminal building by a passenger tunnel with a moving walkway. On rare occasions, a remote gate may be used. These gates are in the Bradley terminal building, and from the gate passengers are taken via bus directly to the aircraft. Always proceed to the Bradley terminal and follow the signage to the assigned departure gate.

Since January 11, 2023, all our departures and arrivals have been from Terminal 2B.

Paris - USA Enhanced Security Requirements

Air Tahiti Nui services departing from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Los Angeles will be required to abide by new security directives from the United States Transportation Security Administration.

Effective immediately, customers departing Paris will be required to demonstrate that all electronic devices in their possession at the time of boarding, including telephones, tablets, laptops, e-books, game consoles, cameras and camcorders are in working order and functioning under battery power. Checks will be made at the time of boarding, and equipment that is defective or not functioning will not be permitted aboard the aircraft. It is recommended that customers keep their battery chargers in their cabin baggage should they need to charge their equipment prior to boarding their flight.

Lounge in Paris

SINCE January 11 2023, Air Tahiti Nui operates in Terminal 2B and provides you with more comfort with the "Extime Lounge". More information HERE.

Auckland International Airport - AKL

Air Tahiti Nui operates from the International Terminal. Check-in is located in Zone C on the Ground Floor. Taxis and shuttle buses are available for all arriving and departing flights. The airport to central city taxi fare is between NZ$75-NZ$90. An efficient Airport-City Airbus operates 24 hours, for a cost of NZ$16 one way. For further information visit Skydrive. Shuttle buses also offer economical transportation between the central city, suburbs and the airport on a 'shared ride' basis.

A free bus runs between the international terminal and the domestic terminals from 5.00 am to 10.30 pm daily.

NOTE: The times listed represent the absolute minimum connection times, but the times shown do not guarantee a connection. Due to regular airport congestion Air Tahiti Nui recommends adding at least 30 minutes to the guidelines below.

  • International to Domestic: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Domestic to International: 1 hour 15 minutes

** Connecting Flights - Separate Tickets **

Most airlines will not permit baggage to be checked to your final destination when separate connecting tickets are used. If you using separate tickets and connecting to another destination, please allow sufficient extra time upon arrival at Auckland to clear customs and immigration formalities, collect your checked baggage, and check in for your onward flight.

The new airport at Narita connects the world's largest metropolitan area to the ATN route network. Air Tahiti Nui operates from Terminal 2.

Sydney Airport - SYD

Sydney Airport also known as Kingsford Smith Airport.

In conjunction with our codeshare partner airline, Qantas Airways, we offer up to five services per week from Sydney to Papeete, Tahiti via Auckland.

The Air Tahiti Nui flights from Auckland to Papeete operate on Monday¹, Tuesday², Thursday, Friday¹ and Sunday. 
¹  Operated by Air New Zealand.
²  Tuesday service is a seasonal operation.

Sydney International Airport - departures

Check-In Counter 

For your Air Tahiti Nui/Qantas flight from Sydney to Auckland, check-in will be at the Qantas desk in T1.  Check-in kiosks and bag drop are located at check-in area C. 

Business, Premium Economy and Qantas Club passengers can check-in at the northern side of check-in counter D.

For Economy passengers counters may vary. Check the display consoles inside the terminal for details.  For more detailed information please visit Qantas Airways

Recommended check-in time is 3 hours before flight departure.

Latest time for international check-in and bag drop is 90 minutes for Economy and Premium Economy passengers and 60 minutes for Business or First Class passengers. All check-in counters close 60 minutes before flight departure.  All boarding gates will close 15 minutes prior to the departure.

 

Connecting at Sydney Airport

Connection times will varying depending on whether you are transferring from one domestic flight to another, between a domestic and international flight, or between two international flights. T1 is the international terminal and T2/T3 are domestic terminals.  Refer to your booking agent for more information.  You can learn more about transferring between terminals on the Sydney Airport website.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport - SEA

 Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located in the city of SeaTac a city in King County, about twenty miles south of Seattle, Washington.

SEA Airport offers daily connections to most major North American cities, as well as other international destinations such as Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Air Tahiti Nui offers 49 destinations beyond Seattle in codeshare with Alaska Airlines (AS), Horizon Air (QX) and Sky West Airlines (OO) in the United States and Vancouver.

Air Tahiti Nui operates in the southern satellite of the "Central Terminal" which offers various catering services, a duty-free shop "Duty free" and the "The Club at Sea" lounge.
We inform you that the security controls and immigration filters are located at the "Main Terminal"
Transfers to other terminals can be done on foot or via underground trains.

Check-in of flights operated by Air Tahiti Nui

The Air Tahiti Nui check-in counter is located in the main terminal on the South satellite between hall A and B. 

Your boarding gate is located at the South Satellite Terminal.

Check-in start and end time at the airport:
•    Opening: 3 hours before departure 
•    Closing: 1 hour before departure
 

Access to the lounge

Air Tahiti Nui offers its Poerava Business Class travelers, its Tiare Gold Club members and its guest and passengers who have purchased the "Lounge Pass" service, access to the "The Club at Sea" lounge located on the mezzanine level of the "South Satellite" (Concourse S) above door S10.
The "South satellite" lounge is open every day from 06:00 to 19:00.

Passengers who have purchased a ticket from our partner American Airlines are not eligible for access to the Lounge. Nevertheless, Air Tahiti Nui offers them the opportunity to buy the "Lounge Pass" service at the airport on the day of departure.
